
In 2011, Enfield Farms built a brand new, state-of-the-art processing plant. The plant is designed for superior quality assurance and contains cutting edge technology that enables us to process the most fruit while maintaining the quality and integrity of each individual berry. One of the new additions to our processing facility is a new cooling system that allows our fruit to be cooled within a matter of minutes, which enhances the freezing process. This allows us to process the fruit in a way that ensures optimum freshness.
High standards of sanitation, safety, and efficiency are maintained in the processing facility. The new plant also contains a "gown-up" room, and other enhancements that eliminate any outside particles from permeating the plant. All staff, including seasonal employees, complete quality assurance training and quality control personnel constantly monitor the quality of the fruit and manage the staff to ensure compliance with standards. All fruit is packed in conformity with all U.S.D.A standards and we are proud of our consistently superior audit ratings.
